Day #16 - Fence

Fred put this fence up many, many years ago for privacy. We now have full grown trees that block us off from our neighbors. He has mentioned taking down this bottom fence and replacing it with the picket fence but I still like it. The looks and private little garden. It could use another whitewash. Maybe this summer or next.....

Day #15 - Amimals

Future home of some animals (birds). A robin has been busy making a nest in this tree. It's been pretty quiet out there lately but once warm weather comes there is a bit of activity on this back deck. Not sure how well Mama Robin will like the company. Hopefully we won't get dive-bombed.

Day #14 - Necessity

The first thing that comes to mind is my coffee maker. I don't think the day could start right without my morning cup of coffee.

Day #13 - Favorite Saying"

Don't Sweat the Small Stuff - and it's all small stuff. By Richard Carlson

Day #12 - Bedside

Very spartan. I don't even know how old this alarm clock is but it still works.

Day #11 - Artwork

I was at a loss for artwork. Then I came across some of Matt's old drawings on the computer. So here is my artwork. Or I should say my son Matt's artwork.

Day #10 - Transportation

This is still my mode of transportation. It's usually just me running around in it. Sometimes Danny and Jeanie, too. This is the transportation at it's best when it's pulling the trailer. Last year Molly came so we had three kids along. We really don't need this size vehicle anymore or this size trailer. It's amazing how fast life changes. When we went on our first trip with this trailer, we had nine kids with us.

Day #9 - Dad

This is my Dad. Lisa took this picture a few years ago and it remains my favorite. She captured such a natural likeness of him. I feel so blessed to have him for my Dad and I so rarely tell him how much I love him. He will be celebrating his 80th birthday in June and I thank God that he is still in such great physical and mental health. But most of all, I thank God that He has preserved my Dad all these years in his childhood faith.

Day #7 - Moon

Little did I know when I put this photo challenge together that Day #7- Moon would fall on a full moon. This is actually a day late. I had to wait for the moon to rise through the trees to get a picture.

Quick Visit

Isaac Martin
Cool Dude Adrian.
We ran up to see this growing family yesterday. Came back today. We have Easter services and didn't want to be gone for Easter Sunday. There is something going on every weekend into May so thought we'd shoot up for a quick trip. I'm so glad we could hold little Isaac before he completely grew out of the newborn stage.

Day #6 - Funny

This was a fun day at the zoo back in 2008. Danny would make faces at this guy and he would make faces back. We all were in stitches.

Day #5 - Hands

We don't have little hands in this house anymore. These are the two littlest ones left. We are going to be seeing some tiny hands tomorrow when we go visit our newest grandbaby!

Day #3 Black and White

Wow! This challenge was a lot harder than I expected. My camera doesn't take in black and white. I just thought I could take any picture and make it black and white. I can edit it in picasa but when I import it to my blog it will only import in it's original form.

So I stole this picture. This badger is living in our back yard. Behind our neighbor's house. Our neighbor had seen a big pile of dirt and a big hole in his back yard so he set up his trail cam. This is what he got. Plus several other pictures with fox and deer in them.

Danny Got Confirmed

Hard to believe this kid got confirmed yesterday. He's feeling pretty grown up. He can now officially go with the kyds and is loving it. (Didn't have a picture of him alone.)

Day #2 - From a High Angle

The back yard from the upstairs bathroom window. It always kind of catches me by surprise when I'm upstairs and look out the window. The yard looks so different from a high angle than it does from the main floor windows. Our bedroom is on the main floor so I really don't look out from upstairs that often.
