Apron
After seeing Becca T's Emmaline Apron on her blog (myownpemberley.blogspot.com)-I don't know how to "link" it. I thought I'd post mine. I do wish I could photo mine as good as she does! This is a fun and reversable apron. This one was for Larissa's birthday. I'm hopeing to get another one done before Christmas for "someone's" late birthday but we shall see....

Learned to Crochet
Julie L. showed me how to crochet this hat. I love to knit but look forward to doing some crocheting. Every now and then I find a pattern I really like and it's crocheted instead of knit so it will give me some variety. Jeanie wants me to crochet a flower to add to this hat. I will have to figure that out.
P.S. I am making pasties Thursday if anyone is interested.

Projects
I recently finished this bag for Larissa. The first picture is before I felted it. I just throw it in my front loader washing machine and wash it with a couple pair of blue jeans. This one I ran through two loads. If I don't have jeans to wash I have a couple old pair of Dad's jeans I use for felting.
This is the almost finished project. I want to line it with this fabric and put a zipper in it.
I am making a sweater for Brady out of worsted weight sock yarn. The color is more muted than the computer shows. At least my computer. It is more earth tone than it is looking here. This is done on size 4 needles so it is not very fast going but it is so fun to see it take shape. Both patterns were free off the internet.

Ria's Apron
Auntie Ria bought fabric and picked out this pattern for me to make her an apron. (Sunday Dinner Apron by Vanilla House designs.) It was fun to do but I had a little trouble with the pattern. I wrote down some of the problems and will email the company. Since I have been sewing for many years, I was able to figure out what to do but if a novice sewer tried to make this, they would have had a difficult time. I just received an email to pre-order the Lola apron. I ordered it and it is suppose to be sent out next week. Once I get it, I will be able to make your birthday apron Jen!

Heidi's Apron
Me and the twinners went shopping yesterday. We came home with only two dresses. One for Gretchen and one for Jeanie. I did hit the clearance rack at Penney's and got Jeanie and Danny a few things from the $1.98 rack!
Per Heidi's post. Danny got out some exercise books from the library. One is called Fit and Fabulous in 15 Minutes. We were dying last night watching him "exercise". He would go page by page and mimic the lady's pose. He was getting so mad at Dad because he kept calling him "Danielle". Brett was ragging him asking if he was a "girl". In the middle of the book there are pictures of people who have supposedly done the program. Before and after pictures. When he got to them, he got all excited and said, "See Brett!!!! See, boys, too!! See it's for boys too!!" There were a couple men in there. I was too lazy to go get the camera and take a picture. I'm sure he'll be doing more exercising so I'll try capture his "finesse" later.

Aprons and Shots
Aprons......Judy got me interested in aprons. After seeing the cute ones she's made I decided to try my hand on some. This is the one I made for Amanda. It's the third one I've made so far. They are so much fun and so quick to do.
I was so proud of Danny yesterday. He had a doctor's appointment. I didn't dare tell him that he was having his blood drawn or that he was due for two shots! He was a trooper! He did great for the shots but was worried about having his blood drawn. I told him that Will just had his blood drawn and he did a great job. That seem to help and he didn't flinch when they took his blood. Of course, he wanted to see it when they were done! I just woke him up for school and is he a moaning and groaning about his sore arms! I gave him tylenol and told him to move his arms to loosen them up. Hopefully he'll go out to school without too much of a problem.
eta: Okay....he did great at the doctors but is being a big baby today. He was bawling and bawling this morning because "my arm hurts......" He wouldn't move his left arm. He is left handed and I figured he would not have a good day at school so he's home.......reading his sign language book. Seriously, he will sit with that book on his lap and read and then do the signs for hours!!!

Another Bag
Dad and I went to the Tiger's game yesterday. It was my first. It was a beautiful day and so fun. We got there two hours early and were able to watch batting practice and just walk around the park. It's a beautiful park and we had great seats. Of course it was even more exciting as the Tigers won with a homerun in the ninth. They played the Twins.
