Another Bag

I washed and shrunk my latest bag on Saturday. I really like how it came out. This will be my knitting bag. It's a bit plain so I may embellish it a little. I was thinking about finding big funky buttons and sew them on for flower centers and embroider petals around them. (It probably will never get done as I am using it already.) I'm now working on a poncho that is looking like it may be too small for Jeanie but it should fit one of the grand kids if it is.

Dad and I went to the Tiger's game yesterday. It was my first. It was a beautiful day and so fun. We got there two hours early and were able to watch batting practice and just walk around the park. It's a beautiful park and we had great seats. Of course it was even more exciting as the Tigers won with a homerun in the ninth. They played the Twins.

No Fashion Sense

I bought Jeanie this Laura Ashley dress from Costco. I thought it was a nice cool dress for summer. Let me repeat, I THOUGHT, it was a nice cool dress for summer. Here is our conversation when she got home from school:

Me, holding up dress: Jeanie, I bought you this dress for summer.
Jeanie: Ewwwwww!!! It is so ugly!!
Me: What? You won't wear it?
Jeanie: No Way!!!
Me: I think it's so cute!
Jeanie: awwww......that's cuz your old............

So she completely destroyed my confidence in taste. I was getting worried about these clothes I bought for Carter, Abram, Lori and Jane. But then Jeanie started going through them exclaiming, "Oh this is so cute....so is this....they ALL are so cute!!!!" Whew.....I passed the Jeanie test, hopefully you girls will like them also. The girl clothes are all Lori's sizes except the jeans and outfit above it will fit Jane.

Special Olympics...Here we come!

Danny had his swimming with Special Olympics last night. I only took a couple pictures because when he saw me with the camera, in his usual style, he'd forget everything and look at me and grin. The summer games are in Mount Pleasant the end of May. I'm hopeing he can compete but I guess they only can take a limited number of athelets so we will see.

Brad and Larissa came by last night (and Wade). It was fun to hear about their wedding plans. (Brad and Larissa's, not Wade's) Larissa and her ladies went to look at dresses Saturday. She said it felt like she was playing pretend. I'm sure it feels a little unreal yet but so exciting!!!

Easter Morning

I never did send you the Easter morning picture. I had taken another that showed Jeanie's skirt also but "someone" accidentally deleted it from the camera. The picture is a bit blurry but the best I have.

A Birthday Party!

I thought it would only be appropriate to start this blog with a birthday picture. That is one of the reason's I wanted to start a blog in the hopes that I would take more "every day" pictures. All our photo albums and the last 15 years of our videos are one birthday party after another with an occasional Christmas and maybe a few vacation pictures thrown in.

This is Molly's 13th birthday. Can you believe Molly is a teenager?!! Of course this wasn't on April 7th either. I think we did her cake on April 18th. Not bad as at least it was the same month!
