I bought Jeanie this Laura Ashley dress from Costco. I thought it was a nice cool dress for summer. Let me repeat, I THOUGHT, it was a nice cool dress for summer. Here is our conversation when she got home from school:Me, holding up dress: Jeanie, I bought you this dress for summer.
Jeanie: Ewwwwww!!! It is so ugly!!
Me: What? You won't wear it?
Jeanie: No Way!!!
Me: I think it's so cute!
Jeanie: awwww......that's cuz your old............
So she completely destroyed my confidence in taste. I was getting worried about these clothes I bought for Carter, Abram, Lori and Jane. But then Jeanie started going through them exclaiming, "Oh this is so cute....so is this....they ALL are so cute!!!!" Whew.....I passed the Jeanie test, hopefully you girls will like them also. The girl clothes are all Lori's sizes except the jeans and outfit above it will fit Jane.

I'm trying not to laugh too loud right now because the kids are sleeping. That reminds me of the story Shirley tells of Heather. (Must be the baby of the family thing...) When she went to kindergarten, Heather told her teacher that her mom was old. The teacher asked, "how old"? She said, "80". (She was in her early 40's).
The clothes are all cute. You were right Abo has the Exact same blue shirt (on the arm of the couch, near the back). And I love that hawaiian shirt.

I'm so pumped! That's quite a find! My boys need shirts for summer (they're all cute) and I'm pumped on the pajamas too. Thanks for going to that garage sale for me!!!
And actually, there's a continuation to the Jean story.
I sat with Jean and Dan at church and Jean took her sweater off. I noticed the collar was half out/ half tucked under. I went to pull it out and got the evil eye. "Don't! That's so ugly!" Apparantly she brought herself to wear the dress but the collar was where she was drawing the line. I just cracked up!!
That's so funny.
(Could mom take the collar off for her?)
As if that girl already cares about how she looks. too funny!

wow, you can definitly tell who the baby of the family is....I guess it doesn't help that her older sisters are all so stylish ;)
