Heat Wave

We had a great time with these kids. They were here during our heat wave last week. It didn't seem to bother them too much. I couldn't believe they were playing a game outside. The temp hit 100 that day.

Working Out with his Nephews

Dan didn't exercise for a week and a half when we were up north. The day after we got home he did a 1 1/2 hour workout. He did complain that he was a little sore.......His nephews joined him. They didn't last the whole time but did pretty good.

Dad Turns 80

My Dad turned 80 last Sunday. I love you Dad and hope I'm doing as good as you at 80! 

My Dad and Mom are going on a trip to Finland this summer. My Uncle Al is going for Finland's Mid-Summer Services and my folks are joining him, his wife and another couple. I mentioned to Al last weekend: "I can't believe you're taking my 80 year old parents to Finland!" He laughed and replied, "Oh, I've traveled with old people before." (I think Al is a young 76.)

Diabetes TourdeCure

Congratulations Matt and Wade!

 Matt biked 62 miles in the TourdeCure (to raise money for diabetes)and Wade biked 10 miles. (Wade is recovering from a motorcycle accident so opted out of the 62 mile ride.) 

I was waiting at the finish line hoping to get a picture of Matt with the banner above him. When he came through I didn't even get him in the view finder much less under the banner! I was so disappointed.

Molly and Kaitlin volunteered and were manning a water station. Danny says he wants to bike on the tour next year. He could probably manage the 10 mile one. Maybe.
