More Polar Plunge Pictures

Danny was really in the role of Prince Fielder. When he saw himself after he got dressed, he said, "Wow, I really look like Prince!" You could tell he really "felt" like he was Prince.

Danny's friend Taylor also jumped. Him and Taylor have been good buddies since elementary school.

 Danny's cousin Sheila and her friend Susie from Brighton's Fantastic Sam's plunged also. (Sheila and Susie look like they could be sisters.)

 Big brother Wade decided to take the plunge with Danny. He got the good video of him.

After the plunge. Yes, it was COLD, said Danny. He can't wait until next year to do it again. He's hoping to recruit ALL of his brothers to do it with him.

Danny's Polar Plunge for Special Olympics

He did it! Danny (Prince Fielder) and Wade jumped through the hole in the ice Saturday. Thank you to all who donated! Danny raised $1,710 for Special Olympics!! Wade put together a video of the event. Click on this link to see it:

Special Olympic Polar Plunge

Danny has decided to participate in the 2013 Brighton Polar Plunge. This is something that he has wanted to do. He thinks it will be pretty cool to jump in the lake in February. He's hoping there will be snow and that they will have to chop a hole in the ice.  

The Polar Plunge is Area 27 Special Olympics largest fundraiser. Special Olympics is solely funded by donations and volunteers. We have 400 athletes and 15 sports.  Danny plays basketball. This year he is thinking about swimming again and hopes to play softball.

You are all invited to come watch him plunge on February 23rd. In fact, anyone is invited to join Danny in the plunge! All you have to do is register.

Danny's gonna Polar Plunge

Brett and Danny were cleaning up the yard today. Danny didn't think he looked like a "dork".

Danny decided he wanted to participate in the Brighton Polar Plunge this year. It is February 23rd. I tried to tell him that it could be freezing cold and snowy. That they might even have to chop a hole in the ice. He said "it doesn't matter!" He's all excited about it. A couple of his friends and coaches participate. It's to raise money for Special Olympics. In fact it's one of Special Olympics biggest fundraisers. It helps pay for their tournaments. Once we get signed up and set up a Polar Plunge page, I'll post it. Now he has to come up with a costume to wear for it.

Making sure.....

Just making sure I don't make it too easy to get back on a healthy diet around here. At least I used up my candy kisses and mint M & M's. The kids will be happy as I don't bake too much these days.
