The 25¢ Sale

I hit a gold mine at the garage sale I stopped at on my way to knitting yesterday. I was leaving the garage and almost passed the table that was heaped with clothes. But the sign,"All Children's Clothes 25¢" caught my eye. I picked up a pair of jeans and saw they were size 8, Jeanie's size. Well, I walked out with two bags full of clothes for $8.00. She wore a cute pair of brown goucho's (sp?) with a pink shirt and a pink lacy poncho to school today. Her whole outfit was a whopping 75¢! Buys like this really get you fired up to garage sale. I haven't done much in the last two years but I have the "bug" this year.

Cute bargains. Those jeans look fun! Man, I love when you hit sales like that! It's like hitting the jackpot!

Holy crap! Way to go, and Jean actually liked what you picked out?! Your getting pretty hip in your old age!

Yes, believe it or not she liked EVERY piece! I actually bought so much because I wasn't sure what would fit and what she would like. They all fit also. The shorts are a tad big on the waist but work with a belt.

wow! what an exciting steal of a deal! thatd be nice if i could find clothes for me that cheap! a 75 cent OUTFIT thats unheard of!(how come there is no such thing as the 'cent' symbol key on the keyboard? of all the years ive used a keyboard this is the first time i noticed that that key is missing! theres a dollar symbol but not a cent symbol...weird)

The other symbol I wish I could find is the 'degree' symbol. Like when you write 400 degrees. I was putting recipes on my blog but I can't figure out how to put the 'degree' symbol. Is there a way to do that?

400º like that you mean? if you hold down alt and type in 167.. theres actually a whole bunch of symbols and things you can get by holding down alt and type in numbers.. im not sure what the cent sign is though but there is a number to get it..

If you hold the alt key and type 0162 you get the cents symbol. I also think it should be on the keyboard like the $ sign.

How do you guys know all this stuff?!!! Never heard of such a thing in my whole life. (Thanks!)

Just tried both of those codes and they didn't work. What's the trick?

You can go on Micro-soft Word and on top click on Insert then click symbol. It shows all the different symbols and then it has a shortcut using the alt key.

whoa, i never knew that.. i just learned the alt thing from a kid at school one time.. i was so amazed when he came up with all these symbols.. so then i went home and i went on word and starting typing in a whole bunch of numbers seeing what symbols there were and i got a big long list now.. but otherwise if you go to google and type "numbers and alt" or something it gives you stuff..
