From the family email from his son Dave:
Dad had these 3 tests and here are the results. The MRI and PET scanns showed that the cancer did not spread anywhere else in his body. The Breathing test was not good enough to make him a candidate for surgury YET. He is home now, on antibiotics to prevent infection and allowed to resume as normal a life as possible until the 28th. Hopefully he will improve his lung condidition enough to become a candidate for surg.

Grandpa's Doctor told him to walk a couple miles a day. That was months ago and for all we know, he may be in Chicago by now.
