Playing School

We have really been using our Web Cams. Jeanie was even playing school with Kirsten and Cale yesterday. It's amazing!

Emily and Amanda "pop" in a couple times a day. Kendall gives us her cute little smile! We were able to sing Happy Birthday "live" to Nikayda yesterday, also. (Sara, have you downloaded Skype yet?)

Tuesday, Danny came home from school by himself as Molly had drivers training and I was working. (He LOVES to be home by himself. He thinks he's really a "big cheese".) I guess he called Emily up on the web cam and they visited for about a half hour. Then Jeanie got home. Emily said they can "babysit" Dan on camera when nobody else is around!

Dan and Jean were home alone when I called them yesterday, too. I could tell Dan thought he was pretty big stuff being home alone! :) It was pretty cute.

We visited with Heidi and Adrian for an hour yesterday! I couldn't believe we were on that long!

That's pretty cool that you guys can do that! I'm wondering though...does it seem weird to sit there and look at someone else on the computer screen?

Very cool! Hmm...might have to look into this for our families. Do you just have to buy a webcam and then the connection is free or how does it work?

Jolynn - you go through skype which is free. You can call all over the world for nothing! And it's way the heck better seing as you can visit face to face!
I probably call a couple times a day, I think they will be regretting this decision. Yesterday I had to call to show them Kendall running behind her walker. Tomorrow I might call to show her pulling off her socks. It just might get to be a bit much to them, but I don't want them to miss out on her life anymore! ha ha!

We're having computer problems over here. Jon's computer crashed a couple days ago because of some automatic windows update (thru our security service)! (And Julie's crashed because of the same thing!!) The same updates that caused theirs to crash has been downloaded on mine..yikes!...(waiting for me to shut it down so it can install it) so of course I want to stop it (I haven't shut off my computer for that last 3 days...still trying to get a hold of the security service - they have been bombarded with calls so guess I'll have to wait to download Skype till after this gets figured out.
Sounds like I'm missing out!!

Jen, I got booted by your call that day. ;)

Dan called again Thurs. or Fri (I can't remember) I love seeing his smiling face in the afternoon. He was a little dissappointed though when Cale wouldn't give up his computer games to chat. I told him to call someone else who was on.

Haha Amanda.. I'm thinking they might regret their decision too because I feel like we have been calling so much.

Cami - not weird at all! It actually feels like you are in each other's living rooms. Or maybe I just feel that way because we put it on the big screen. When things get boring you just hang up.
