August Gardens

The flowers are at their best as fall approaches. Unfortunately we usually get an early frost to end them all. Hopefully we can enjoy them for another month anyway. My tomatoes are starting to really come. I planted a few different varieties. The grape tomatoes are definately sweeter than the cherry ones. I have a roma type, Italian Genovee, that is suppose to be good for salsa because of it's firmness. I will attempt to make salsa this weekend as I should have quite a few ripe tomatoes. I have clipped a few recipes and will experiment.

The gardens look nice. Great job on the "close-ups" too.

Wow, your August gardens sure look better than mine. Is it REALLY necessary to water and weed them!?
