Lynette and I made four different cookies today and then dipped pretzels. The cookies were so-so. The Lemon Meltaways were the most disappointing. They did not spread at all when we baked them and they didn't look too pretty. We sprinkled the "sprinkles" on them to make them look prettier. They were kind of "blah" tasting. The Peppermint Snoballs were pretty good. They were similar to Russian Teacakes but with melted white chocolate on them and crushed candy canes. The Triple Chocolate Caramel Cookies kind of flopped. The caramel bubbled out of the cookie while baking. They still tasted pretty good. I liked the Cherry Chocolate Nut Cookies. The kids might not. They have chocolate chips, chopped marschino cherries and chopped pecans in them. Oh well, we had a fun day.

Now the dipped pretzels were good!! We melted a bag of caramels with 2 Tablespoons water. We dipped the pretzels in the caramel and then some in slightly crushed rice crispies and some in chopped toasted pecans. When they set, we then dipped them in melted chocolate. We sprinkled crushed candy canes on some and some I drizzled white chocolate. They were fun to do and Oh So Good!

Pretzels sure look good!
Bummer about the cookies - I'm sure you guys were in good company. :)
I've been craving chocolate covered pretzels. I'll have to try them with the caramel - that sounds really good!
oooh, what time is morning coffee?
those pretzels do look good, i was going to make white chocolate covered pretzels but brad doesnt really like them, so that means i would eat most of them. but i still might because i love them, then i could just bring some over there to share!
WOW, THOSE PRETZELS LOOK GOOD! oops, sorry about the caps..typing one handed. I can't believe something my mother baked didn't turn out ;)
I'm going to have to make those pretzels. I'm just not in the mood to make cookies this year so i think i'll stick with candy instead.

I'll be over too, right behind Sharyn. I would love the cherry chocolate cookies as well, but the dipped pretzels in all those layers, YUMMY.
