Dreary Morning

This picture was taken at 8:00 this morning. Just thick and foggy looking. The kids were hoping for a "snow day" or I should say "ice day". Jeanie wore her pajamas inside out AND backwards. She put a quarter and a spoon under her bed (?) and did a "snow dance". Shucks for her, not me, it didn't work! It's kind of sleeting now and they are predicting awful, icy weather this afternoon. Buses might have a rough ride home. Molly has ortho this afternoon. If the weather is too bad, I'll reschedule. I had planned on going shopping today but didn't really know what I was going after so figured it would be a waste of time. I will do some online shopping instead. I will try again to make an apron. I need to run to Joanne's to get a "Clover Bias Tape Maker" as the apron on the right calls for homemade bias tape and the book recommends the Maker. I will make the apron out of the green with the bias out of the purple. I don't care for the large pocket so will make the smaller pocket.
Here is my first attempt at an apron. It came out way to big! They must run big as I made an X-Large thinking the Large would be too small! It would make a great maternity apron.

It is yucky out. I did walk my mile this morning..but I'm afraid to follow thru with my planned gallavanting today in case they decide to close school early and well...cuz I don't feel like hauling the boys out in this sludge.
I'm just glad that Greg is pulling a nooner so he can take care of the 5:00 appointment that's a 1/2 hour away. Better than any other present, that.

Pretty apron, I like that style that covers all of the clothes and is easy to get on and off.

Your apron turned out very nice.
I have that same Retro Aprons pattern book. It is so hard to know when you are making a pattern with sizes, instead of one size fits all. I am planning on making that middle one with some of my polka dot fabric.
