Home Alone

Molly had an orthodontist appointment today. As I was locking the door to go get her from school, I started thinking.........Gretchen's staying after school.......Hopefully Kaitlin isn't.......I decided to leave the door unlocked incase Danny WAS the only one coming home. Gretchen was staying after to video a project for her Digital Imagining. She needed people for her film. But then I thought I remembered her saying they were all done with the video except they needed a few more seconds of a couple people she named. Kaitlin wasn't one of them. So I started relaxing thinking Kaitlin must be coming home on the bus. When I left the ortho at 3:20 I called home. The phone rang three times before someone answered:

Danny: "Hello"

Me: "Is this Danny?"

Danny: "Yaaah"

Me: "Was Kaitlin on the bus?"

Danny: "Noooooooooooo!!!"

Me: "Are you okay?"

Danny: "Sorta"

Me: "Molly and I are on our way home from the orthodontist. We will be home in about 15 minutes. Do you think you'll be alright?"

Danny: "yeah"

Me: "Why don't you go on the computer and we'll be home in a few minutes."

Danny: "k"

He was fine when we got home. He told the girls: "I got home and said, MOM??!!!? KAITLIN?!!
GRETCHEN???!!!ANYONE HOME????!!!! and no sound! Then I started crying."

I must have called him right after this. Because he then told the girls that he came on the computer and put His Radio Disney music REAL LOUD!!!!! He was at the computer hugging "Ben" when we got home.
