Good Ol Summertime!

We have enjoyed several cucumbers from the garden and a few grape tomatoes so far. And best of all, Rocky Ridge Farms have set up their booth with sweet corn. We had some on Saturday and Sunday! It is the best corn ever! You can't have too much of it! A couple more meals with sweet corn and the kids will get burned out but not Dad and I.

The weather has continued to be really mild for July. Today I hope to start tackling the basement. I wish I had a big dumpster! Tomorrow I plan on taking the day and going dress shopping for Brad and Larissa's wedding. I'm not sure where I will head. Maybe toward the city and the bigger malls. Wish me luck!

I Love pictures of your backyard..I would love to come over and see it all in full bloom now. And your raised garden is something I would love to have, small and compact.

I had corn on the cob last night, bought from Wal-Mart, it was delish! I was pleasantly surprised.

Hey Sue, come over any time. Bring the kids for a swim. Our gardens are a little overgrown as Fred doesn't have the time to work on them like he use to and I am clueless! But I guess when you stay in the same place for 26 years things can get overgrown. The raised garden was Fred's idea and it is great. Easy to care for, the soil is very fertile and virtually no weeds. He's talking about adding another so we can add a few more vegetables.

The raised garden looks really nice! But I keep wondering what the two posts are for...?

Sweet corn sounds good! The kids wanted me to buy it at Wal-Mart but I passed it up. Maybe I should've tried it... :)

Anne, I have had good luck at the little shop in downtown Milford for two of our weddings and they are very helpful and friendly there. It's called The Clothing Cove I believe.

Thank you so much, Yvonne! I was going to go to an upscale mall but after talking to my sister Maria, she told me not to as their prices are so much higher than the other malls. I'm going to start at the outlet malls and shop the new mall in the next town over. I definately will check out the store you suggested! Thanks!

I can taste the corn just by looking at it. I have been so disappointed by all the corn on the cob I've had so far this year. Maybe I'll have to try wal-mart...

Thanks Anne, that would be fun! Hey, Riss- I don't know if you are moving into another apartment after the wedding or not but I have a couple of nice sturdy boxes from my athome america stuff if you could use them. They are about 2' tall, 1' wide and 2-1/2' long. If you don't need them, then they are up for grabs.
